  • ORIGINAL ONE-ACT PLAYS READ LIVE ON-STAGE—An evening of six staged one-act play readings by Playmate Playwrights.
  • The theme of the series titled, LOVE CONQUERS, was written by five playwrights, Jonathan Chiccino, Joanne Eisenberg, Meghan Malloy, Jennifer Nelson and Susan Sandor.
  • There are enough shenanigans, belly laughs and a few sentimental journeys to savor. So, if you believe the play's the thing, grab your Valentine for this love fest. Running Time approximately 90 minutes.

Linda’s Laryngitis by Meghan Malloy

A speechless mother outwits her disrespectful son, who is happy she is without a voice, by doing what it takes to brighten his future.

Adrift by Jonathan Chiccino

A Holocaust survivor who immigrated to New York has a split second to decide about life, death, forgiveness and love.

Extramarital Affair by Susan Sandor

Hysterical, hypochondriac wife discovers her sentimental, classical-music-loving husband is having an affair because of a present given to them by her daughter.

Runaway Son by Jennifer Nelson

Misguided, drug addicted teen takes to the streets with the homeless and yearns for the help of his parents when he hits rock bottom.

Catherine & Jack: Winners & Losers by Susan Sandor

Recording defining moments of their life together, a passionate couple keeps the flame burning after a long marriage that took them through thick and thin.

Even Angels Sing the Blues by Joanne Eisenberg

Heavenly creatures write a book report on the sorry state of humanity, complete with song and harp. A heavenly fantasy!
