Playmate Playwrights presents LOVE IS STRANGE, a conglomeration of six original one act live play readings in one evening. Playwrights, Jonathan Chiccino, Joanne Eisenberg, Meghan Malloy, Jennifer Nelson and Susan Sandor had the option of taking the theme in any direction they chose, making for a diverse body of work. You may laugh, cry, or sigh in your seats. “Our mission is to bring our works to life live on stage, make them memorable for the audience, and to help us grow as playwrights,” says Susan Sandor, producer of the performance. The plays are directed by veteran actor and acting instructor, Joey Perillo. This is the group’s second staged reading, the first of which played to a sold-out crowd and received big-hearted accolades from the audience. Runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Sallie’s Baby, a woman concerned about her age for conceiving, unwittingly employs her best friend’s ex-lover to inseminate her.
No Clue, an argumentative couple are clueless about something. Or maybe nothing.
Nesting, an intellectually impaired young woman learns she had a tubal ligation ordered by her mother.
Love Baker, a woman seeks to find a way to win back her husband’s roving eye through his stomach.
The Stalker, a mentally impaired young man threatens and torments a woman living alone.
Thirty-Something & Single, a single, young man adopts a newborn baby girl and sees her to her wedding day.
